Is the mystery of consciousness the reason religion continues?

Hey there. Feel qualified to answer this lol. Ok, so, we live in a very complex universe with many different scales. For instance, we live in this big, macroscopic world. But get a little smaller and we get down to the cells. Different process happen there and there are different rules from the big, macro world we observe. Get a little smaller and we get to atoms, from there proton, neutrons to even smaller particles called quarks. Every scale has it's own set of rules. The smallest scale is thought to be superstrings or vibratins. At this scale, we once again have our own set of rules. For instance, you can have one object in two places at once. Now, we, the oberver are thought to create our universe as we percieve it around us. But we also seem to live in a universe that is independant of us! We don't control the sun! But somehow we make reality? hmmm, we have a problem. Actually, we don't. At each scale of size, different rules apply even though they may seem to interfere with rules from another scale. They are all correct!! What this means is that, on the deepest of deepest levels, the fundemental basic level, the observer and the observed are not seperate! They are one and the same. We experience personality, thought and emotion through our brains but the process of conciousness stems from much, much deeper. It is part of the fundamental basics of the universe. That actually means that the universe is intelligent at it's core! They are one and the same. I think some people realize this on a deeper level and call it "God" if they want. I think it's amazing no matter what you call it. But I think that may be from where we do get the idea of "higher" power when really, it's us and it's always been us all along.
