If you can get your cat to eat Merrick instead of Fancy Feast, that would definitely be the choice to make. Fancy Feast has additives that make it taste so good so it might be hard to switch over. Try mixing a bit of Merrick in over a few weeks and start decreasing the amount of Fancy Feast until he is only eating the Merrick.
