Help with computer reading audio discs?

I have windows vista ultimate and it wont play my music cds. every cd is different i guess, i have one cd that it will only play about 35 seconds of the first song and then skips the rest, saying that it is unreadable (even though brand new) and another cd that will play for about a minute and then does the same thing. i can't burn them or anything because i keep getting this problem. the cds are fine, i put them in my xbox and ps3 and they work. any help is appreciated
