How can I deal with my parents who seem overprotective?

well im glad to hear someone at your age saying that you know they are being that way because they want the best for you. my mom was the same way with me. boys ohhh nooo they are dangerous!! lol can i go hang out with my friends at the mall?? ooohhh nooo something bad might happen to you. then i was like ok thats it and sad down with her i think i was just about your age. we compromised, i told her i would continue getting good grades and make her happy of her daughter if i could go out sometimes with my friends, promised that if she'd call i would pick up every call, and asked her to just do it once and watch how much she could trust me. the first couple of years she called soooo much and i understood it was hard for her not knowing exactley what im doing, but then it slowed down and ended up to my mom telling me why i havnt called her. so then i realized damn it would have tooken years if i just called her at times myself. like before the movie starts, call, when you get to the park or any destination, call her. SHOW her you could be trusted.
