I cant help but get enraged with the prices of games nowadays?

I go to gamestop bcuz they have the best deals. of course, anywhere the prices are always expensive for new games but they lower their prices in time. but why do games have to be so expensive to begin with? and i bought two games totaling $30 and trade in credit was $3 for both of them together. it seems trade in value is even less than usual
