I'm a New Guardian and I NEed help with TEENAGERS?

OK, catch her sometime when you know she's home alone, in her room. I'm sure if your mom (God rest) were still here, she'd be what holds everyone together. Bring up how much she's missed slowly and subtly and try to put her in your shoes. You remember what it was like being a teen and how "the world's out to get ya" at that stage. Just level even more so that I'm sure u already do. Talking about your mom will get her to thinking about good times and she won't be defensive when u want to talk. You and your fiance OF COURSE did nothing wrong! Still, I would be embarred also lol but they have NO right to even compare your relationship as far as how ready or not anyone is for ! You two are getting married----WAY different from two kids who, may be in love, but could get knocked up tomorrow...Then what? So ur TOTALLY in the right girl. But u gotta ease into a convo with her, with a topic such as ur mother. You probly know her better than anyone ;) Good luck!
